HELP. Bloodstain on light green carpet.?
Question:Help. I have brand new light green carpet. I got blood on it when I soaked through my pad. How do I get the stain out ?
Answers:
Peroxide, but it may fade the color of the carpet
Eew!
wet a sponge and blot it out. my son just got blood on my
new tan carpet. took it right out. do not saturate it.
Hydrogen peroxide will eliminate the blood.
Rinse it well, because it may slightly bleach your carpet.
Spray cold water on the stain but don't soak it, using a spray bottle, then blot up with absorbent paper towel. Do not rub the stain!! Cold water is all you will need to get the stain out.
Use hydrogen peroxide. It is what medical pros use to get bloodstains out. Works great.
try oxyclean the rinse with plenty of water
good luck
As layda and nerdy put it, hydrogen peroxide will take the stain out of your carpet and almost anything else. Try it in a hidden spot to see if it will also lift the color. I don't think it will though. Hydrogen peroxide is one of the best cleaning agents and is used to clean everything in hospitals and drs offices.
Saturate with hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide does work. I had a friend walk into my house after he severed an artery and two tendons and the peroxide worked. But there was a trick. I had to pour the bottle on, let it all bubble up, pour a bottle of water on it, then pour another bottle of peroxide until it stopped bubbling up. Then I blotted it dry. I'm sure that you won't have to repeat the process as often because the amount would be different.
ice then blot it out
oxi (sun brand at dollar general or walmart is cheaper). mix according to directions in a spray bottle. good luck. it has worked for me.
