Using bleach in your washing machine?

Question:How do you do it? I mean, where do you put the bleach and what cycle do you use?

Answers:
If your washer doesn't have a bleach dispenser (a small cup on the top and side), add bleach as water is filling machine, along with the detergent. Do not add clothes until the tub is full or you risk bleaching your clothes. Also, only use bleach for whites and towels. You can use any cycle.

Depends on the type of washer. It is recommended to fill the tub first then add the bleach so it doesn't just splash onto one item.

Only use it on ALL WHITES like white socks and underware and towels of any sort since who cares you know? It kills germs.
In the conditioner drawer, diluted
You should never use it in your washing machine, it will rot the rubber seal around the door. If you must use bleach, do it in a bowl then rinse and wash on 60 degree wash.
DO NOT POUR IT DIRECTLY ON CLOTHES. Let tub fill with water and then add bleach, let it set a second then add clothing - all whites of course.
Many washing machines have a separate place to put the bleach in. I mix the bleach with twice as much water in a big plastic cup(like the 32 or 44 ounce ones you get from fast food or convenience stores) and add it before you put the clothes in. Only use bleach with white clothes and avoid using it on synthetic fabrics because it will yellow those. They make color safe bleach for those things.
in the liquid bleah compartment if you dont have one turn the water on to start al load but before you put clothes in you add the soap then the desired amount of bleach you want then let it run for a few mins then go ahead and put the whites in and wash away!!!

Of course you can add it to your washing machine.
For TOP LOADERS, the best and safest thing is to first let the wash tub fill up with the water and soap that you've added and then add the bleach just after the washer starts agitating...
THEN you can start adding your items to be washed.
This avoids the bleach at full-strength coming into direct contact with any of your clothes and leaving spots.
It goes without saying that bleach is to only be used on your "white" stuff...bleach will spot or fade color clothes.
For FRONT LOAD washers, in this case it will have a bleach dispenser where you can safely add the bleach and the washer will dispense it at the proper time.
When in doubt, read the label attached to most clothing for it's recommendations about bleaching.
Depending on the model of machine you have, there should be a place where you can pour bleach in, and it will dispense it at the right part of the cycle. For me, the drain is in the left front corner where the lid closes.
If you aren't used to using bleach and don't need to...DON'T.

If there isn't a specific area in your machine to add it, read the instructions on the bottle. I add it to the water before adding any clothing and of course only bleach solid whites. I also use a powder bleach which is great because there is no splashing and no fumes. I know it's hard to get for most people but I'm lucky because we also sell it. I don't want to turn into an ad instead of giving advise so if you want to get the powder instead of the liquid, I'll be glad to send you details via e-mail. I'll update my profile to allow e-mail. Not trying to sell, the liquid works just fine, I just know what I prefer.
most washers have a dispenser on the machine,,,,,,, but most of the time i just pour mine in the washer with the soap and let the water run to mix together, then put my whites in ,(hot water)
dilute it first and put in the drawer, the compartment you would put the powder in.
