HeLP! I have black indian ink on the carpet!! (Peach coloured carpet too!!ARGH!!) How do you get it off?


Question:I don't want to tell my mum bcause she'll have a cyco cos were going to sell the house and yesturday i already got indian ink all over the desk cos it leaked over night and i floded the bathroom and it leaked through the floor to the ceiling of the other floor and my dad had the meanest angus...
Theres onli a lil on the carpet like 2 little spots but im afraid to try rub them cos it might spread... any ideas?

Answers:
try hairspray, and blot immediately with paper towel or clean rag.
you may need to do this a couple of times.each time use a clean rag or towel-so as not to continue to spread the stain.
you could also use q-tips - but you are going to use a few...so use a rag or towel

It will not come off. Sorry to tell you. Now tell your mother and face the music. Clean the house, and offer to wash the car.
put lysol on it just use any type of cleaing sprays. rub as hard as you can!
They won't come off with anything I know of. Isopropyl Alcohol at 99% will probably disolve it but all that will do is spread it around.

If it really is tiny spots, as in two or three yarn fibres affected in each location, you could CAREFULLY cut the individual yarn fibres just below the stain. Now if it is a tiny stain as in MAN HOLE COVER size that is probably not the best approach.
