Try soaking the items in a bucket of water to which you will add two or three scoops of Oxy Magic powder. Allow the items to soak overnight. Then wash. You can find Oxy Clean at any supermarket detergent isle.
I can suggest this , First when ever possible , lift most of the pollen dust with sellotape , then soak in cold water , remove from water and add salt, much about the same when you remove blood from clothes. It should lift out onto the salt
