Why do my socks dissapear in the washing machine?

Socks have a habit of disappearing. you may find them in amongst other clothes, even in pockets. You may also find that if you take the agitator from your machine, you will find the missing socks under it, and the same applies to the barrel of a twin tub.
That is what socks do no really if they don't get caught in the lint trap which is hard to find in a washing machine they may get stuck by static to the clothes you put in the dryer.
