How do I remove a tea stain from silk?

Question:It is an old stain and it has been dry cleaned twice. I think the first time it was drycleaned the stain vanished but it was just hiding as it reappeard and I'm sure I would have noticed spilling that much tea in my lap again. The next time it was dry cleaned nothing would get it out. Can any one recommend anything? (its a large stain in the middle of a cream dress so its pretty much ruined anyway)

Answers:
Put it in Salty warm walter for 4-5 min before wahing it. But do not scrub the cloth. ever.

Cheers

I use oxiclean. I feel like that stuff will take stains out of anything. I use the liquid with my detergent (Tide) and I've had success with it. I went to the circus and a kid sitting behind spilled red slurpy down the back of a "dry clean only" jacket. Of course, I'm "one of those" that puts my drycleaning on delicate cycle in my washer, but I added the Oxiclean to the cycle and every bit came out. It might be worth a try. * I figured my jacket was ruined, so I didn't even try to rush to get it washed. I waited about a week before I threw it in with a load of clothes. It worked for me! Good luck!
