What causes earwigs?
Question:I've found at least six or seven of these buggers in my home all in the kitchen by the outgoing door. I'm a clean freak so I don't understand why I have them. Any ideas?? I live in an apartment and my landlord has been notified...I don't expect him to do much about it though. :(

They come in through holes in the walls or open doors or through doors with bad weather stripping and or window weather stripping. Get your glasses on if you have some and check for any holes or cracks them buggers can slip through. A good way to check the weather stripping around doors it to have someone get on one side of the closed door and shine a flash light at night with all the lights off around the edges of the door while you on the other side. Also the winter time is good because you can put your face around the inside edge of the door while it is shut and feel for cold air sneaking in. I use my face/nose because I think my face is more sensitive then my hands.
