It isn't the washing that streaks, it is the drying. Try using old newspaper to clean and dry - no lint and no streaks.

I would reccomend that you would use water and then clean it off with a car wiper blades. Then polish it of with old newspaper.

My neighbor shows old cars and he is very particular about the little details. There are 2 things you can do.. 1) use windex and use newspaper to dry them.. or 2) buy a no lint towel. They sell them in car stores and they are amazing! He does both and they work great... It also works on house windows etc... (any glass)
I recently bought a product called "Invisible Glass", made by stoner corp. It comes in a spray can. and it works great! better and more streak free than windex. I clean a lot of glass in my buisiness, and it really works better than anything I have ever used.
Use windex and a squeegee. When you clean the windows, move up and down on one side and side to side on the other side. That way if you do get a streak, you can tell which side of the glass its on by the direction of the streak.

Someone told me to try this, and when I did, I was amazed at the difference. Instead of paper towels, use newspaper. You would think it would spread ink, but it doesn't and the streaks are non-existent!
