Best vacuum to go from carpet to tiled floors?
Question:Every vacuum I have purchased within the past couple of years ends up getting trashed because when I am vacuuming on the carpet and then transition over to the kitchen floor, the trash I pick up on the kitchen floor spits back out behind the vacuum. I even change the setting to hardwood floors. I'm tired of spending all this money on vacuums, so I need to know which one would be the best for my problem. Thanks!
Answers:
I have a Eureka Optima and a Shark Cordless Sweeper. Both work on hardwood and carpet very well. The Eureka plugs into the wall for use and the Shark is rechargeable.
The Dyson canister vacuum is great- its the best vacuum
I have used (and I have worked janitorial and housecleaning
for a long time, used a lot of different vacs)
It doesn't clog, its easy to dump the canister and the
floor brush works great on carpet and wood or tile.
Its about $500 but worth it. The only thing that is a
negative is the telescoping wand that the
attachments connect to, the connecting piece is
rather large and when you attach the crevice tool to reach
into narrow places, the bulkiy connecter can block
access.
I have a Royal Dirt Devil. It is bagless and works wonderfully. I have used it on both carpet and bare floors. would highly recommend.
