Laundry question?
Question:How can I shrink some of my clothes? and how can I make some of it bigger?
Answers:
A hot dryer helps to shrink clothes if theyre going to shrink. getting clothes wet and stretching them them letting them air dry is the best thing I have tried.
To shrink: Try washing them in hot water. Dry in a hot dryer and keep drying them for a while even after they're dry.
To make bigger: Wash in cold water and lay them flat to air dry.
if you have tshirts that are too wide...i recommend not putting them in the drier but getting someone (or do it yourself) to turn the shirt inside out and sew along the seam on both sides to take it in...quite easy. if the shirts or pants or whatever are too long or generally too large put them in the drier. if they are too small.try pulling them and stretching them after they have come out of the washer...easiest with two people and literally have a tug-o-war. then hang them to dry. other than that.i have no clue. buy some new ones.
Shrinking is easy ... wash in hot water and dry on extra hot. Stretching is more labor based ... you got it, stretch away!
Depends on what they are made of. Cotton and wool will shrink to a degree, you might try lookin in the phone book for Tailor or Sewing and find some one to do alterations!
let me do your laundry I promise you it will never be the same
If they have polyester or rayon, they will not shrink! Cotton & Wool ( use caution it may be smaller than you want) will in hot water.
As for making them larger, your stuck with either wearing them till their stretched ( moderate to comfortable is the best you'll get).
Dieting or buying bigger.
To shrink wash in hot water. To make then larger try ironing them or buy a bigger size.
