Just a suggestion - but what about putting an ice cube (or bag of frozen peas) on them - see if it freezes them and you can pick off?
i find this site comes in handy sometimes
get some scotch tape or a lint roller see if it will pick it up. then let the rest dry (or use a blow dryer) and vacuum it up. if it stained in you can use some baking soda mixed with water on light carpet to remove the stain if a traditional stain remover like Resolve wont work.

vacuum up any solid materials then try white wine vinegar
the vanish bar that is for clothes is great on carpets. it got blackcurrant off my white carpet.
