This is what I do. Get a hunk of raw beeswax (you can buy it online or in a health food store) and some olive oil. Carve off a small chunk of beeswax with a knife and put it into a glass jar. Microwave it for about three to four minutes until it's melted. Use pot holders when you remove it and be very, very careful...melted beeswax on your skin would burn you badly. Add about twice the amount of olive oil as melted beeswax. At this point, I put in drops of lavender essential oil to make it smell nice, but it's not necessary. Once it dries, test the consistency. If it's too hard and sticky, remelt and add more olive oil. If it's too thin and greasy, remelt and add a little more beeswax. When you get it to feel like a creamy balm, pour it into little tins or glass jars (you can find lip balm tubes and tins to buy at www.mountainroseherbs.com and many other places online). To use it, I either put it in a lip balm tube or I scrape some up with my fingernail, and before I go to bed, I rub it liberally all around my eyes, on the crease between my brows and on my lips...sometimes even over my throat and hands. I've been doing this for about 10 years, am 39 years old and have not a single wrinkle or an eye bag. Warning...it does make a bit of a mess, so use old spoons and jars, or use wooden shish kebab skewers to stir with.
Facial exercises..
this will sound sooooooooo crazy and funny but if its just for 1 event to help stiffen the skin to look less noticable of wrinkles apply hemmroid cream to your face under your make up you will look 10 yrs younger for the event..my mother in law uses this method before she goes to parties or gatherings and shes 52 and looks 42 after these steps.
Drink 8, 8oz glasses of water a day, eat a balanced diet, get plenty of rest. Sliced cucumbers on the closed eye for about 1/2 hour a day will help around your eyes. Mix half and half, warm water and white vinegar and use this to rinse your face 2 times a day to help balance and brighten your skin testure. Use mild lotion on dry skin, I like cucumber/melon for my face and use Wal-Mart brand Aveeno for my hands, legs, and feet. Hope this is helpful! (To help wake up in the morning and look bright-eyed, I rinse my face in cool, not cold, water.)
try a bit of almond oil...works wonders! and smells terrific...
love the beeswax remedy of the previous poster, I am so gonna try that!
Be gentle with your skin and it will go a long way in keeping it smooth and supple. Gently massage the face with glycerin-honey mixture. Dip a cotton pad in unbeaten egg white, and smooth it across wrinkles. Leave it on for an hour and remove it with a cotton dipped in ice-cold water.
