Will outside storage hurt washing machine?

Question:I have a year I need to store fairly new washer and dryer machine. Side load models fairly new cost 1,000 dollars new.
I was looking to buy a enclosed trailer to hold all my furniture but I live in Florida. Will the heat and humidity ruin the washing machine if stored in trailer one year.

Answers:
In Florida, no. If you lived in a cold climate, I would suggest you make sure the pump is drained to prevent damage from freezing. Make sure rats don't nest in the washer. We store them for years and they run fine. You may have to replace the hoses.

no
I wouldnt think so.People put them in storage units all the time with no problems. It may have a smell but a little vinegar in it the first time it is run should clear out all of the hoses...Hope this helps :)
Heat and humidity will not ruin your machine. Animals will. Insects or other nesting rodents can chew through wires or cause other problems. As long as this doesn't happen, you shouldn't need to worry about storing your machine.
