Is there a better alternative to furry bathmats?

Question:The bathmats we have at home, the 2'x3' furry kind, just aren't cutting it. After we step out of the shower and onto the mats, the mats stay wet for hours, if not days. What are some better alternatives? or perhaps not all bathmats are created equal?

Answers:
Dry off as much as possible IN the shower, THEN step out on the bathmat.

Sure...most department stores carry bath mats that are made of the same material as your towels; they are found in the bath linens section. These mats are slightly thicker and finished a bit differently.

After toweling off, you fling the mat over the shower bar/door and they'll dry within a few hours.
once you are dry hang the mat over the shower curtian..will dry very fast
Definitely bath matts are NOT created equal. First, get the kind of matt that has a woven back rather than a rubber one, which holds in moisture. Second hang the matt on the edge of the tub or over the shower after you are done for the day.

You may think of "drying off" in the shower as much as possible before you step on the matt, thus reducing the amount of moisture.
I'm gonna go with NON-furry bathmats.
YES!!.Visit any store selling such products and they will answer your question..
I hate the furry ones because not only do they stay wet, they will grow bacteria that can cause athletes foot or many more things. We use old bath towels and just wash them often, when in a hurry, we just hang over the shower door so they can dry. You could use the "rag" rugs, walmart has them for under a buck, and get the foam stuff that will prevent them from sliding. The trick is to pick them up off the floor and hang to dry after each use! Good luck and I hope this helps!
You can do what they do in hotels and purchase the terry mats made especially for that. They tend to dry quickly. They are available at Linens N Things or Bed Bath and Beyond. You may also have too thick a pile on the rugs you are currently using and might also want to look at something shorter.
