Unexpectedly curry fell on carpet.it contained oil and turmaric.how can i remove them after 1 year?


Question:i mean i tried to clean it immediately.but i was not able to remove that.then i thought to call for steam carpet cleaning.now its almost 1 year and stain is still visible on carpet.even after 3-4 times after steam cleaning.its hard to remove.can you tell me what should i do.

Sorry, if your carpet isn't white and can't take bleach (colorfast or not) then I think you're done.

My standby is Fels Naptha soap, it's a hundred years old and gets any kind of oil out of almost any kind of material. It's in the laundry ailse, give it a whirl. Use some pre soak to dampen the spot before you scrub the bar of soap directly onto the spot.

Ouch. Tumeric really is the kiss of death (I should know, as I just got back from India). If you've already tried steam cleaning, and have already tried a de-greasing detergent, then you are probably best off either covering the area with a rug, cutting a replacement patch out of an area under the couch, or using watered-down paint to tint the carpet.
