How Do You Clean A Pergo Laminate Floor Without Damaging It?
Question:I have Pergo floors in several rooms and I have five cats and a dog. Is there anything I can use to get little particles, etc. off the floor without causing any damage to the finish?

Swiffer!
I know I sound like a commercial, but hear me out!
Get a Swiffer Sweep&Vac. It's a swiffer with a stick vac attached to it.
Instead of using the Swiffer pads though, I just use a microfiber cleaning cloth. About once a week I dampen the cloth with a little Murphy's oil soap and water or just water.
I have hardwood floors, but my mom has laminate flooring and this method works well for her too.
vinegar and water...that's it
Vinegar and water. That's what the guy who installed my flooring told me.
Add 1 cup white vinegar to a large spray bottle. Add water to fill. Spray small areas of the floor and mop until complete.
I love it and it works!!
Water and Vinegar
A good way to clean laminate flooring is with vinegar water. Mix 1 gallon of water with one cup of vinegar. Squeeze the mop, don't mop with too wet of a mop head. One warning about laminate flooring, do not let any liquid stand on the surface. I had this happen to my floor and did not know the water was left on the floor and it seeped into the floor at the seam and it raised the surface. Below the top surface is pressed particles of wood and they expand with water if left for an extended period of time.
Pergo seems to take well to most cleaners. On a daily basis I use my swifer wet jet. But to clean it on a weekly basis, use murphys oil soap. You will like the results.
