How do I clean a burlap sack?
Question:I have a burlap sack that got gatorade spilled on it. I put it in my washing machine and that helped some, but it's still gray at spots. I'm looking for a way to get it back to it's original state.

Try using a stain remover such as shout...good luck! =)
OK. First of all I have no idea why you would have a need to clean a burlap sack. I mean, this is what potatos and such are sent to market in, right? Secondly, how would anyone have a clue as to which state it came from unless there is a certain state that produces burlap sacks. I was already confused and now I'm confuseder. A state of confusion, that is.
I would pretreat it with some oxi clean.
try using a spot cleaner, rub it in and allow it to sit for a while then launder it again, you don't want to dry it in the dryer, cuz that will set the stain, and then you have to work even harder to get the stain out. At that point, it's going to take bleaching or dying it ...
I am also wondering why you would want to clean a burlap sack. Unless, it is a purse made out of a burlap sack. Otherwise, I do not have a clue. Good Luck,
