How do you get motivated to clean and organize your house?
Question:
Answers:
I actually love cleaning because it gives me time to think...I put my Ipod on and zone out while cleaning ..before I know it the whole house is done..just make sure you do just 1 room at a time..stay with that room till it is finished before you move on to the next room..having multiple projects in the house gets overwhelming..stick to one room..if you have to enter another room to drop of an item..put the item away then go back to the original room...have fun
Put on that song by Michael Jackson, "You Got Me Working," and then dance around a bit and the broom and mop seem to move by themselves. LOL
1 room your choice, 1 area so your not overwhelmed. Pick up the papers read thur to keep or toss. Same with clothes make a bag to save 1&1to give away to AmVets, For the second bag use for shoes unwanted bags,belts,hats.etc. If your not going to wear them anymore. Plus it will make more room for the newer clothes. They will also take books, lamps, bikes, toys, coats. I do clean when it's too much for me to ignore.
start by choosing what you are going to accomplish for the day. (ex. i will clean the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and sweep/mop the floors.) then choose a date/time that you will get up and work. (ex. i will get up at 12 oclock and start working.) then choose ONE room to work in. choose how long you're going to work. (ex. i will get up at 12oclock and clean the kitchen for 1 hour.) choose what your reward will be at the end of the day. (ex. if i accomplish my goal, i will treat myself to a pedi/mani.) when the time comes around to start, blast you favorite cd and work your heart out!!
Put up a for sale sign! Seriously, if you have neglected the home for awhile, hire a maid on a bi-monthly basis. You will be so impressed with your new, clean home that you will be ready to tackle the job yourself. Music helps, but a maid works better!
good question! I work at a medical clinic and put in sometimes 9 or 10 days and even on Sat mornings..it takes a lot to get motivated when I just want to crash but I have found that when I sit down and keep seeing the dust it gets to where I can't stand it and it motivates me
Or you can invite company to come and that will sure get you to cleaning! lol
Make a list of rooms: do one a day, or one a week. Then keep on schedule and do each one each week thereafter. Don't try to do it all at once, it's overwhelming. Good luck!
Invite people over. That'll get ya going.
