add a little cold water to the stain , then with normal washing up liquid, add a small amount. Rub in with your fingers, leave a few min´s, then cold water sponge, to remove the suds. Once the stain is removed , lay a towel with a heavy object on top. This will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet. You may find this area of carpet will need to be steam cleaned at a later date , as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface
