How do you get black grease stains off a carpet?
Question:I came home from work the other day and inadvertantly walked in with my boots putting greasy stains on my carpet.
I am reluctant to clean until I know the best method to remove. If anyone could please assist on how ro remove the grease staind I would be forever in your debt. Thank you.

if its grease then try something like Dawn..but becareful though..I would test a small spot to make sure it doesn't bleach out your carpet..they used Dawn to clean some of the birds that were covered in oil from the oil spills..Dawn is really the best at cutting grease..good luck with the floor..you may be able to try greased lighting if you are afraid to use the Dawn..grease lighting is also really effective..I am pretty certain there is no danger to it bleaching anything either
hmm that's a tough one..try a rug cleaner...steam cleaner type thing..or you can just call a professional..GL
I have always used dish soap(good grease cutter) to get grease and oil off my hands but not sure how it works on a carpet. If you try it use straight and rince after with clean water
Good luck
Try goo-gone - it works great! (and doesn't smell bad - it smells like lemons)
vinegar/white and fabric softner ,rub it on leave for 2-3 mins rinse of with cold water and a sponge
go to this website www.shophometrends.com on pg 35 The product is called White Wizard. 011002. It works. I have lt.beige carpet. spots gone. But I need to buy more. More spots I have toddlers.Need I say more. Plus It's safe on all carpets.Grease is listed. only $9.99 +shiping/handling. I feel as this is a Plug. Other than that Thru Home Depot they have a great product also it works and it's called Capture comes in a powder or spray. The powder works great but you'll be on your knees.
