I need to paint my room but im in a budget???
Question:wher can i get a cheap paint like about 3-4 gallons of off white color i live in northern california and the stores i have close are homedepot , lowes, orchard supply hardwear

The only piece of advice I can give is that if you're painting over a darker color, a cheap paint is a bad choice. It will take more time and effort to do multiple coats.
You may want to consider buying a 5 gallon bucket of intermediate quality paint from a home center instead of super cheap stuff. It's much less per gallon that way.

Lowes, Home depot or Menards has special paint prices for folks who had paint mixed and didnt like it. So ask for those and see if you find a color you like. Do you have a habitat place that sales cheap but good paint. check around you can find cheap prices for good paint.
some stores sell paint at a huge discount - these are "oops" gallons which are paints that failed a past customers expectations and so the store took them back. the color is on the lid. of course you have to have some luck but hey you might get lucky and save a bundle
Ask to see the rack of goofed up paint. Large stores like this screw up several gallons of paint a day and sell it for cheap. I used to manage a paint store about 10 years ago and sold mine for $3 a gallon. You won't find that much paint in the exact same color, but if you find several similar shades all in the same type of paint, then its perfectly fine to mix them all together. Its very important to make sure they are all interor grade and all the same sheen (flat, satin, gloss etc). Be sure to buy a little more than you need, becuase once you start painting you wont be able to mix in any more without changing the color. Good luck.
Check your newspaper for ads and see what's on sale. Wal-mart is always good for paint and check your local dollar stores or other discount shops for the rollers, plastic covers, etc.
Lowes or Homedepot will have the lowest price, primarily because they are big and usually trying to out-do each other when in close proximity.
Make sure you get interior latex; its the cheapest variety and its what you want.
I would suggest going to either Lowe's or Home Depot when they first open and looking thru the Ooops Paint.
check out a discount mart like walmart they are usually fairly reasonable for their paint.
I used Home Depot Behr paint and l really liked it. A friend told me to get it cause it is easy to apply and it was. If you can get there by tomorrow 7/7 they are having a mail in rebate special. google Behr paint. My daughter also used it and liked it. I have used Wal*Mart and Lowes paints also and they were good too. Happy painting, nothing spruces up a wall like a fresh coat of paint.
Wait until it's on sale at Lowe's or Home Depot. Don't go to cheap or you'll end up needing more than one coat and the the cheap becomes expensive.
