White dried on power in dishwasher that won't wsh away ?
Question:How do I get this to go away . I have ran it twice with bleach with nothing in it and it is still there .

The white powder is LIME, any acid will desolve it , ie, "White Vinegar", Bleach won't because it has to be alkali to work on laundry stains. So set asside the bleach, and do an acid rince , run it with two cups of white vinegar, and if lime is on plates or cups or glasses you can rince them to then re-wash...
Lime remover should do the trick (eg. Limeaway, CLR, Etc.) Good Luck.
Try an old toothbrush to scrub away. 2nd hot water and use the toothbrush. 3rd. I heard using Lemon Kool-Aide is supposed to clean out your dish washer. And you can use Tang or any other flavor of Kool-Aide to wash out your toilet. Funny but it works.
Try running it empty again, but this time add a cup of white vinegar instead of bleach. If that doesn't do it, there is a treatment you can buy at appliance stores that will do the job. I've forgotten its name but the store personnel will know.
It's calcium build-up. Best thing to do is ask yor local hardware store what their favorite product is (such as C.L.R.) and if it is safe for dishwashers. You will probably fill the soap tray with product and run a cycle. Make sure when you are finished, you run a couple cycles through to get all the chemical rinsed out before loading your dishes!
