How much should I expect to pay a house keeper to come in once a week to do scrubbing and dusting for 2 hrs?
Question:
Answers:
A professional who is licensed, bonded, insured and provides equipment and supplies - between $25 and $40 an hour (on average) depending on where you live (big city compared to smaller city or country)
For an unlicensed, uninsured cleaning person who provides nothing between $10 and $15 an hour. However, you are legally now their employer and you are responsible for reporting their wages and paying part of their social security if you pay them more that a couple of hundred dollars in any given year.
Depends on where you are. I am on the West coast and I pay $85 per week. My mom is in Florida and she pays $50 a week.
25 bucks an hour
Pay her between $60-$100, depending on how much there is to dust and scrub. She will be worth it. Pay her only $50 if there is not as much to do in your house.
It depends upon how many people they bring. The prevailing rate is $25/hour. However, many have a minimum charge somewhere between $70 and $110. So, even if it takes them 2 people for 2 hours (4 hours), they may charge your the minimum $110 rate.
That depends entirely on the locality and the area of the house. I am certain that in New York City the price is very high. Here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia the going rate for a monthly visit of dusting is about $80 for a 3,000 sq ft house. If you know anybody who has a service, ask them. Check advertised (and bonded) services in the yellow pages. Call three and ask for a quote.
it depends on your location.(city, country) if you live in city where the standard of living is very high automatically the labour charges will rise too. the average is about $40/hr.
It really depends on what exactly she's going to be doing in that 2 hours. I own my own cleaning business and I've hired people before who did a 2 hour job in 6 hours! If it were me, I would charge that home owner 65-70 dollars because I can do most everything in 2 hours in a home that's under 2000 sq. feet. And that includes bathrooms, kitchen, dusting, vacuuming, taking out trash and some windows.
Less work than that, I would charge around $45. More than that would be between 85-100.
You don't want to pay by the hour because the person may be slow. So pay by the job. Any more questions you can contact me personally at jocajura@msn.com.
Good luck!
$40/hr. easily for each hour - if only 2 hrs. She has to get there (gas & time) and she will have some of her own supplies. She will have to pay her own taxes & insurance. Otherwise, try to find a responsible teen that wants to earn some extra money - check with the parents or people at church, etc.
Also, scrubbing an entire house, bathrooms, floors and all the dusting, etc. is time consuming.
Depends on where you live and whether or not the house keeper is a professional or just somebody who wants to earn a few extra bucks but doesn't know that much about scrubbing and dusting.
