wow this is the best question ever i ♥ it

thanks for making me laugh.as for remedies sorry can't help you there just throw it away lol.
If your rucksack is washable I'd put it into the washing machine with only a little powder and a drop of fabric conditioner.
I do this with our baby changing bags (spilt milk) all the time. Works fine. :)
just wash it out with bleach, run tap water in the pocket until it goes away.
You can put there the herb lavanda or lavandule. It smells very nice. Also if you can findgreek valnut leaves. But it has to stays there into the bag.Try to wash your bag first.Maybe it was not washed well.
oh bless you...what a mess! you may try sitting an open box of baking soda down in it and hanging it in sunshine..weird sounding I know but baking soda is to remove smells from fridges so hey why not a purse? just a thought I had...and then have heard hanging stuff out in the sunshine does wonders also. Worth a try...maybe someone else will have a better idea for you though
I am a purse/bag nut and would hate to ruin one of mine too
so Good Luck
try silica gel that should do it
Try antibacterial fridge cleaner if you haven't any bicarbonate of soda.
after cleaning out the sauce wad up newspaper and stuff in the pocket overnight.if it still smells repeat until gone.this works for plastic bowls and the fridge.good luck
I would use the baking soda put some in a sandwich bag poke a few holes and that way the baking soda will not be so messy. the soda will absorb the smell.
put some salt in there, pref large granule sea or rock salt, they will absorb the smell
bicarb
Rub it with a lemon. or wash the rucksack. Nothing so good or magical as a bit of bleach on a cloth.
Charcoal - . I found the perfect product for you that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Just place a couple of these in your bag. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying and only a couple of dollars
