How can I clean the cloth front of my stereo speakers?
Question:I have the stereo in my kitchen and the speakers are light grey. Over time, the speakers have become increasingly dirty. I have tried to get the fronts off, but they seem to be stuck on. Any ideas?
Answers:
YOU DONT
GO BUY THE SAME MATERIAL -IT CAN BE BOUGHT-DISMANTLE THE SCREWS FROM THE BACK AND RECOVER THEM-KNOW WHAT I MEAN CAUSE I DO!
I first use a brush you use for painting to softly remove the dust. This will prevent dust from sticking in to the cloth-like speaker cover. Then I use the brush to polish my leather shoes to finish the job.
You could try a dryer sheet. It will attract the dust and lint.
You might try the dryer sheet like someone else suggested, but if that doesn't work, try the vacuum cleaner. Mine comes with an attachment that is perfect for cleaning the front of my speakers. I also have a little hand held vac that works great. It isn't as powerful as the regular vacuum, so I'm more comfortable using it because it sucks up the dust without pulling on the cloth too much.
Vacuum cleaner? Or what about really strong sticky tape, apply the tape and remove it, the dust should stick to the tape!?!
nip into tesco and get the value pack micro fibre cloths 3 for under a pound, wet in hot water wring out well and clean your speakers all the dust does onto the cloth great.
Try with Sellotape , Press the sticky part the speakers , this should remove most of the dirt and grime. then use a cold water sponge to wipe
