A zipper tongue on my jacket fell off. How can I repair it?

Question:I have an old bomber jacket. The zipper tongue fell off (not just what you pull, but also the mechanism that pushes the teeth together.) How can I put a new one back on>

You can buy a whole new zipper at a fabric or craft store. Or you can just ask your local dry cleaners if they can repair it or relace it for you. I've had 2 zippers fixed by my dry cleaners and it's about $9.00. Usually the dry cleaners will have a sign that says they do alterations... that's how you can know if you should ask them or not.
