Temporary fix for bleach stains on carpet?

Question:We moved into a new home, and until we change the carpet out, is there a temporary fix you can use to hide unsightly bleach stains on carpeting?

Answers:
Contact a carpet cleaning company and ask them about "Spot Dyeing".

They can do this service relatively cheap (maybe $20 per square foot) on small areas. It will be done fast, professionally, and the work will be insured. Much better than going it alone.

I managed a 635-unit apartment complex, and dealth with this situation all the time. The same company that cleaned our carpets would also dye them for me if there were spots, and you couldn't tell that a spot had ever been there.

Good Luck!

There is a product that can dye the carpet. It's a pain to match the color & you have to try a patch test first but try the local hardware store. You could also cut that part of the carpet out & replace just the patch. A lot of flooring places will sell remnants cheap.
I wish!! I spilled bleach on my dark blue carpet in my bathroom and I tried alot, even bought some fabric dye. Not much you can do except throw a rug down over it until you get some new carpet.
There is a carpet dye you can buy but I have never been able to match it up exactly.
A simple cover for a stain is an area rug. Or try to position the furniture so it covers the worst of it.
Depending on the color of the carpet you can use some food coloring or strong coffee/tea to dye it back to a color (though not exact) that may not stand out as much as a bleached out spot.
