What is the best way to rid your closet of shoe odor?
Question:I have about 100 pairs of shoes, some tennis shoes, some flip flops, some dress shoes, etc. I recently moved an have noticed that my entire closet smells like dirty socks. I have read some reviews on SCOE 10X Concentrated Odor Eliminator. Anyone ever tried that for this problem or know of any other solutions?
Answers:
You need to start pitching the stinky ones, and wash your feet more.
Well, you might want to consider getting some odor eaters... put a box of baking soda in your closet... That will help eliminate odors...Also, if you have that many pairs of shoes it might be a good idea to sort them out and get rid of one's that are not fitting, stinky or not worn... Also, you can wash some shoes in the washing machine to get rid of foot funk. Put an air freshener in the closet
i have tried that before because i am aa big shoe fan and have had the same problem it works amqazingly i loved it
Wash the walls, shelves, and floor with a solution of baking soda and water.
I would look for a way to clean the shoes or maybe buy plastic boxes to store them in so this doesn't happen again.
I'd also look for a solution to keep your feet from perspiring so heavily.
Place a small bowl of white vinegar in the closet and seal the door. Make sure all of the shoes are in there. keep it closed for 36 hours. The odor will be gone.
i'd try some baking soda on the carpet and then vaccum it up, if that doesn't work i'd try a solid odor absorber.
