Washing clothes question ?

Question:my work uniform is bright blue,i have always washed them by themselves for the last 6 months. If i put a couple of other articles light in color and wash in cold water,is that ok ?

a white towel and light brown pants.

Answers:
Never put a towel in with your other laundry! Especially darks! You will have towel lint all over your uniform and light brown pants! You can wash light - dark clothes with your uniform after washing it twice, so you are okay. If you are concerned about color transfer, use OxyClean, or the Dollar General store carries Sun Oxygen cleaner (the same thing, different name) for about 5 bucks a bucket. Put one scoop into every load that you don't use bleach in and the color will not transfer to other clothes. It also helps prevent a spot becoming a stain. I have used it since it came out, Sun, that is. I am a mom of 5.

My husbands uniforms are the same color. I always wash them with his socks and shirts that he wears under them. I have yet to have a problem with bleeding. Good luck!
the white towel might shed lint on them. but otherwise should be fine.
i mix colored clothes and wash in cold-cold..no harm yet..my wife sparates the whites and sez they come out whiter..looks white to me..id go for coldwash
As long as you are using cold water, they should be fine.
Since you have already washed them several times it will be alright. No worries about the bleeding. Its reds you need to worry about.
