What is the maximum lifting weight for a cleaner?

Question:My friend wants to know as he has to lift some rather large stuff at work as a cleaner and would like to be able to protest at doing it.
Does anybody know the exact maximum lifting weight?

Answers:
Most ads I have seen for cleaners states "must be able to lift 75 pounds". (or cleaning related equipment) Doubtful there are any laws governing it though. His boss will probably tell him/her to find another job.

can someone plz answer Q's thnx:
can it still work at 2 years?(about african grey)
100 pounds
it should be the ratio to body size when lifting as stated in Manual handling Laws
Physically or legally?
Physically, depends on how strong he is... ;)

Seriously - it depends on your local, and/or state/provicial government.

Contact your local Workplace Safety & Health (or OSHA in the States) office...rather, tell *him* to do it.
