What strange noises does your new/or old washing machine make??
Question:Ive had mine for 3 weeks and from day one as its emptying the water, it makes a strange chugging noise. this stops when it spins and every thing else seems normal. When i put my hand over the end of the outlet pipe it feels like a suction and the noise stops but as soon as i let go the noise starts again. This only happens when emptying. Its an indesit wia 111 That i bought brand new.

it sounds like the pump. intermittantly pumping out the water. it stops when it spins i believe. mine does this.
I agree with the first answer. It's just the pump.
A lot of strange noises, when it starts spinning I run out of the kitchen because it seems that its trying to break free and take off somewhere
i like new ones, theyre quiet and never seem to fill with much water, i remember when my one was like that, 5 years on and the water now loudly gushes in, and it sounds like a cement digger when it spins, it still washes well so i guess i can put up with it.
