Laundry Problems... HELP ME PLEASE?
Question:So yeah today in a hurry and out of town I threw all my clothes in the washer so I could go with family to do somethings, I returned back to my families house where I am staying to find out my uncle threw the towels he washed my car with in the washer, which are RED... SO now all my clothes are pink, not a light pink, a wonderful bright pink.. My jeans are even pink, I am wondering if there is anyway in hell to get them back to there normal color... I dont want to have to buy clothes while on vacation.. Thanks

Hey, I say, start a new fashion fad, the "off-pink" craze! I am telling you, go to the mall wearing it and soon enough everyone will start wearing off pink clothes
you can soak them in the water with bleach, just you will never get the normal color tho. At least the pink stain will go away. Just be careful to not use too much bleach or soak it too long, it will ruin your clothes.
I'm sorry but there is not much you are going to be able to do now. Here's the thing: the dye that was released from the towels has chemically reacted with the other clothing fabric. Dyes are made to react with fiber and there is little you can do to reverse that.
Soaking the clothes is a good idea, try some Oxy-Clean, and throw in some Shout Color Catcher sheets as well to pick up any loose dye. Most of the clothes are going to stay pink; you may be able to salvage a piece or two.
buy "zout" and resoak the clothe in cold water.or spray wash cleaning soultions but remember cold water is not the stain won't go away.
oh man, I hate to say this....but I think the damage is done. You could try to soak your clothes in cold water, but I truly think you're now the proud owner of pink clothes. In all desperation could you perhaps redye your clothes?
Ritz Dye company has a color remover product and a color bleed remover, available in most stores laundry product isle. Check them out and follow the directions on the package. Good luck!
EASILY FIXED. Nothing to worry about. There is a product on the market called Runaway Colour Run Remover. Its made by a company called Dylon (the also make dyes). What you do is empty two satches of this stuff in a tub with warm water and let it soak. Then wash again. It only removes the problem colour. It works wonders.
Lady Trey has the best answer.
That should fix the problem.
