How to make the smell of amonia go away?

Question:How to you make the smell of amonia go away its nasty but my sisters carpet smells like it and she was wondering how to make the smell go away?

Answers:
Boil some vinegar in an open pot. Allow the steam to pervade your house, and it will neutralize the ammonia smell.

Depends on what caused the smell.
I am betting it is cat pee, which smells like ammonia afterwards. Try a pet spray with enzymes. Drench it and let it dry completely.
