How can I remove a water spot from a solid maple dining room table?

Answers:
There are a few things you can do: These do work.
*Use cigar or cigarette ashes to remove the rings by adding a few drops of water to the ashes to make a paste and rub on the water spot. Then polish with your furniture polish as usual.
*Make a paste out of 1 table spoon of baking soda & 1 teaspoon of water. Gently rub the water spot in a circular motion until the spot disappears. Don't use too much water when doing this...Then wipe clean & polish with furniture polish.
*Use car wax to buff out the water spot...Buff in a circular motion until it disappears. Buff with a clean cloth & you're done.
*Apply petroleum jelly & leave over night & in the morning wipe the petroleum jelly off. And you're done
*Run some nongel toothpaste on the water mark with a soft cloth & wipe it of with a damp cloth & let dry before using furniture polish
*Mix equal parts of vinegar & olive oil & apply it with a soft cloth while moving with the grain of the wood. Use another clean cloth to shine it up.
Hope this helps...Take care & God bless.
Try some tooth paste that is what my mother used. You have to rub and rub. Good luck
At Lowe's, Home Depot, etc., you can purchase "wood bleach", which is intended for water spots, stains, etc. It will cost approximately $10 for a small tub, but works wonderfully without damaging wood. Usually it is located on the same aisle as wood stain/paints, etc.
you may think im crazy. but i am .get a good cigar have someone smoke it .save the ashes .mix a small amount of water with it and rub the stain. been there done that.it works i dont know how but it dose..
If its just a white mark from the water try using Mayonnaise.
The simpliest and easiest way is to use MAyo
Spread a little on the spot let it sit for a little while and then just wipe clean.
YOu may want to spread it all over the table too though just to even the nice shine it will give the table.
I do this to my furniture at least once a year sounds nasty but the results are NICE
