Question:of telling me, he put something over it. i just went to do some picking up and found it, the marshmellow has already hardend...HEEEEELP!

If you put some ice cubes in a zip lock bag on the area, it will harden up the marshmallow a lot so you can pick it out of the carpet.
"Goo Gone" It's a really good product BUT careful that it doesn't affect the color of your carpet. Try it in a place that isn't conspicuous first.
I say use warm soapy water. Warm water will remelt the marshmallow so that it will rub out and the soap will help remove the sticky marshmallow. It make take a few time of soaking, scrubbing and rinsing the soap out with clean water. Be sure not to leave soap because dirt will cling to it.
