What is th e best cordless handheld vacuum cleaner?

Answers:
Yes, don't waste your money. None of them have sufficient power to do the job.

I used a dirt devil and I love it.
I have a central vacuum system BUT I purchased a nifty stick vacuum cleaner that is cordless and it does a fantastic job for inbetween regular vacuuming. My cat was tracking litter and I wanted to be able to vacuum every few hours or so to keep it from tracking into the other parts of the house so I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and got this vacuum cleaner made by Eureka called "Cordless Quick Up". It was about $40 and it beats ANY other cordless stick vacuum, as I have tried them all! It even comes with TWO batteries so you can always have a fully charged battery handy in case you run the charge down on the one in the vacuum. Now, if you want a HANDHELD, the best I have found is made by Shark. The Shark handheld cordless vacuums are excellent and pick up so much fine, fine dust that you'll be amazed that so much dust could be in your carpet. Shark also makes a cordless, stick vacuum but I tried all of their models and they weren't worth fooling with. The Eureka beats them all but the handheld Shark cannot be beat. Trust me, I am a "clean freak" and I absolutely cannot STAND dust and dirt. My central vacuum is a Beam if you ever have an opportunity to get a central vac. It's wonderful too, but these cordless vacuums I mentioned are so convenient for in between quick pickups. Good luck!!
