Should I buy the H2O Mop simply for runner steaming?

Ive read MANY reviews on the H2O Mop, and to be honest most of them are TERRIBLE! BUT, the majority of the complaints are that the H2O Mop leaves hardwood floors wet and takes a bit to dry (not a big do business to me, Im used to my mop leaving the floor wet). However, the main foundation I want to buy the product is because I live in a house with profusely of pets, none of them use the carpet as a potty, BUT having them adjectives running around playing and coming from inside dirty really takes a toll on the carpet! Id a short time ago like the carpet to be more REFRESHED than next to a vacuum and I think steaming it will do the trick. Problem is, out of all the reviews ive read over the H2O Mop, NONE of them speech about its performance for steaming the carpet. Ive read some that say it doesnt get out stains similar to it says it does, but once again, I dont really care something like stains, i just want to be able to freshen up my mat twice a week or so. Anyone have any advice??

Answers:    The steam wont support urine, youre going to have to get underneath to the pad and get a black night light and a lot of club soda and laundry detergent for that, and whatever you do, dont steam them or use ammonia... ammonia attracts them to the spot more and the steaming bonds the stains beside the fibers.
