Pour equal amounts of water and vinegar in a spray bottle and saturate the stain, let sit for 15 mins, blot the stain with a white cloth or paper towels till gone.
Go to your local Home Depot and buy FOLEX carpet cleaner. It comes in a white spray bottle (32 oz.) and has purple writing, about 5 bucks. It cleans EVERYTHING out of carpet. Just follow the directions on the bottle.

Wet vacuuming may be effective...it needs to be removed promptly, if possible. The "stain" probably brown is from the heme enzymes in the beef broth. After using hydrogen peroxide to lift the heme (blood enzymes), use a dampened cloth with dish detergent on it. It should be less noticeable yet clearly "there". Rinse and repeat as needed until it goes away by wiping. Or purchase a wet vaccum ($80 and up plus detergent $10) ... or rent a machine ... or call a professional cleaning service, tell them what happened and ask if someone could "spot" clean the area.
