How do you get Pyridium stains up from carpet??

Question:I was taking the medcine pyridium and had to throw up.. I couldn't make it to the garbage or the bathroom on time soo we have these yellow stains in our carpet.. We are moving new sofas in tommorow and we want to get them up ASAP! please help!!

Well, I am not certain what pyridium is but the best approach is to wet and dab...repeat...I get a lot of seemingly impossible stains out that way.

Just wet the area and blot it up with dry paper towel (or regular towel) and repeat until it is gone.

If it does not work try other things in the place of water...such as salt water, vinegar. I also found this info online: A 0.25% solution of sodium dithionate or sodium hydrosulphite solution, available from a pharmacy,will remove these stains.

FYI...if you take pyridium for bladder spasms you might want to try saw palmetto (even if you are a female...it is not just for MEN!).
