hydrogen peroxide, you can buy it in any drug store.
Its usually used for bleaching hair, but it works well on fabric too.
By adding Oxy-Clean to the wash, in your machine with hot water.
Spray the item with lemon juice and set it in the sun for several hours. Then wash as usual.
Wash with natural soap & hang outside in the sun, The sun will bleach your white garment the natural way , Do this on a nice hot day and your whites will be whiter than white
Hang it outside in the sun all day. You would be surprised at how the sun bleaches whites (and fades jeans!!)
