How to get set in red stains out of carpet?
Question:
Answers:
Depend´s on the cause of the stain, If it´s blood use cold water and salt. If it´s red wine normally white wine will lift it out. pour a little white wine over the stain, leave for a few min´s then blot with kitchen paper. When your sure the stain has been lifted out. wash with a little dish soap, or a small amount of your own hair shampoo, which work´s well on carpet stains, Once all the suds are out, best using a sponge and cold water for this. Lay a towel with a heavy object on top. This will help dry up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet. Leave like this over night , then let dry with natural air. You might find that this area of the carpet will need to be steam cleaned at a later date. As sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface
lick it like a dog would
If it is red wine use white wine, they cancell each other out. But if not i'm not sure
You might try hydrogen peroxide. My husband uses peroxide on his nurses uniforms when he gets blood on them.
