I have a shower door that is covered with water spots and mineral deposits.?
Question:I have used the powder you can buy and a 00 stainless steel pad, but there is a LOT of glass that is extremely dirty. Is there a mechanical device I can use to speed the process? There must be a professional method of removing this stuff without having to scrub in little circles for hours..HELP!!

Treat this like you are washing a window. Use equal parts vinegar to water. Use a newpaper as a wash rag and wipe down the glass then squeegie off. If that does not do the trick then use some toilette bowl cleanser and add a little to some warm water and wipe down. This all sounds funny but the toilette bowl cleanser is a polisher and makes things shiny, even your knobs in the tub. I like to suggest to use a shower squeegie after each use to help cleaning next time.
use mop head.Put brillow pads on bottom of it.
Have you tried CLR or Limeaway? Actually that Kaboom works pretty good too.
Use C-L-R or some other mild acid based shower cleaner to remove hard water deposits. Forget the elbow grease.
I know it sounds harsh, but wear a mask and some gloves and mix a 60/40 of bleach and warm as warm to hot water together. Use your current (or buy one that you will throw away or to replace) toilet bowl brush and scrub the heck out of it. That is the best way I have found to clean things that are that nasty. Good luck.
Mean Green Mildew Stain Destroyer is an excellent product and gets rid of most mineral deposits and water spots. Also try CLR.
Good Luck !
Use Spray-n-Wash. the laundry stain pre-treater. it works great!
I learned this from a car detailing business.
AJAX on a dry palm will rub out the worst hard water spots. It is not time consuming, but it does take a bit of elbow grease. When it fells smooth to your touch, rinse with water and dry with newspaper. You will be amazed. I have used it on my rentals for many years. It doesn't scratch the glass!
Happy Successful cleaning
we all have them. they sell battery powered scrubbers, try a scum remover like tilex but don't breathe while you use it.
CLR, Limeout or 25% acetic acid vinegar will do the trick. Once the door is clean leave a spray bottle in the shower with a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar in it. Spray the glass after each shower and you will never have to clean it again.
When you start with a clean shower and then spray ARM & HAMMER® CLEAN SHOWER® after every shower, you will never have to scrub away soap scum and mildew stains again. CLEAN SHOWER® actually prevents their build up. No need to scrub, wipe or rinse.
use lemon oil. works great with no effort.
