Use vinegar in the jet dry dispenser. It's made for jet dry, of course, but vinegar is cheaper and works just as well. Just refill it every month or two. If you don't have a dispenser, when your dishwasher gets to the last rinse cycle, open the door and dump in about 1/4 cup of vinegar.

It probably needs to have a special cleaning solution run through it. Just for cleaning dishwashers.. I did this with mine and everything looks good now.
Do you have a water softener? If not that could be the problem. My folks dishwasher kept getting the dishes and drinking glasses cloudy. My dad had to replace their old water softener. It did make a difference. I do not have a water softener so I use the vinegar like the one answer suggested. I would use it anyway it will keep your dishwasher from soap build up too.
If you have hard water, as we have here, try a product called Lemi-Shine. Leaves the dishes clear and clean.
