My puppy pooped and peed all over my carpet! How do I clean it out of the carpet?
Question:I have a little puppy who's still being potty trained. I left him at home while I ran to the store and left him with puppy pee paper (which he's trained to use). Let me just say: I will never do that again!! I think he got upset that I left so he pooped/ peed on his puppy pad, then ran in it and tracked it all over my white carpet! There is dog poop and pee EVERYWHERE!! On the walls, embedded in the carpet, on the shelves, and matted into the ground! My carpet looks like it has giant brown spots now. How do I clean this?! The first thing I did was pick up all of the big pieces of doggie stuff (sorry for being so vulgar) but there are still tons of little bits of pieces sprinkled around the carpet that I can't grab. I don't want to vaccumm them up because there is pee everywhere, to. And I don't want to get doggie stuff in the vaccumm!! HELP!! :[
Answers:
Go back to the store and get spray oxy-clean. That and some paper towels will do the trick.
Otherwise, be methodical, and start at one end of the room, and move across. Make sure that there is none left on him to track around, and then confine him somewhere so that he can't step in it again and spread it more.
Consider crate training. Dog's won't poop where they sleep, and if you are only leaving him for a short time, you will be doing both of you a favor to confine him until he is trained.
go to pet store
they have many
products to help
with your problem
from 1 DR. to another, "rug Doctor" :)
carpet will need to be steam cleaned or shampooed
Oy! I've been there! Spot Shot is your friend. Blot with clean white cloths or lots of paper towels. Baking soda and vinegar will take care of the rest. If a smell lingers try Nature's Miracle. They sell it in larger pet stores like Petco. It's expensive though.
Club Soda Water, seltzer apply directly to spot and blot not rub. It works I had a doggie that got excited and pee-d.
Secondly, do NOT yell or make a fuss after the fact as puppy just thinks your nuts. If you happen on pup in the middle or start of pee or poo just pickup and run with it out the door and set pup gently down
and say, "here you go, good doggie" in the nicest voice you can manage and the pup will understand.

rent a steam cleaner if the spots are not to big you can do it by hand ,use OXI CLEAN buy at wall mart.
dont use too many different types of cleaner
and get professional carpet cleaners in quick
we had the same problem, only it was on lite apricot carpet.
the professionals cleaned it great, no odor or stains left
give puppy a cuddle, its only a baby
Like any product will say treat the stain while it's fresh and go to a store and by some carpet stain remover and then steam clean it afterwards if you want. You can clean your whole house too. ;)
Vinegar. Give it a day for the smell to evaporate.
any hardware and some food stores carry rugdocter steam cleaner. You will need a neutralizer for the Oder and pee stain will not come out.
Not sure how to clean the poop stains, but as far as the urine, it is necessary to clean it properly or else the puppy can smell it and will go back and pee in the same spots. I tried a bunch of different products to remove the urine but none worked so I finally figured out a recipe that does the trick.
Every puppy should come with a carpet shampoo-er. I got a Little Green Machine by Bissell because my puppy had diahhrea from food allergies. It worked great! Good luck and don't get too mad at the pup. Get a kennel and keep it contained when you cannot be with it, even for half an hour. Learn to recognize your pups activity or anxiety levels when it needs to go outside to the bathroom. It will get better. . .
don't put a bunch of gunk in your carpet! use just 1 tbsp white vinegar to 1 qt. water. all the carpet cleaning junk they sell at the store only creates a place for bacteria to grow and some can take the COLOR right out of your carpet. read the fine print before using ANYTHING like that. most of the time this works. if not try peroxide. it will not "bleach" any man-made carpet such as nylon, olefin, berber, polyester, etc. don't use, however, on wool, cotton, jute, or any other natural fiber.
