Can you mix dishliquid and bleach together?
Question:is it harmful to mix bleach in your dish water?
Answers:
Yes but not other cleaners. I use dishsoap and bleach to clean the bath all the time.
It's ok to mix dishliquid and bleach together. But that's about all. Do NOT mix bleach with cleansers of any kind. No ammonia either.
Yes, you can and you can buy liquid soaps that advertise that they have added bleach to the formula.
However, FYI, ammonia and bleach DO NOT MIX and SHOULD NOT EVER BE MIXED:
A--It is advised to never, ever mix ammonia with dish liquid, as most dish liquids have bleach (to some degree) already mixed in.
B--As well, the dish liquid may contain other chemicals that could cause unhealthy fumes.
For the most part it's O.K., but some dish soaps are ammoniated during their manufacturing process.
So you could potentially come across a brand that may react with bleach. I would think that as long as you add it after the sink is full of water, you'd be alright. But I'd be careful mixing them without any water being present.
Then of course there's dish soap with bleach already in it. So mixing this type of soap with bleach wouldn't matter.
Yes, but it only takes a tiny amount to disinfect. You should only use about 1-2 tablespoons for a standard size sink and rinse thoroughly in hot water. Higher levels can be dangerous. If it is strong enough to take the color out of your clothes, then it is too strong.
yes! make sure you wash the cups and plates real good.
As long as you are using a dish soap liquid that doesn't contain ammonia. Then you can mix some bleach into the water. Just be sure and rinse well.
It will cause a gas. To avoid that, put the dish soap in and put in the water, then add the bleach. I do it all the time. (I'm 43 today! and a mom of 5)
I am not sure if it is harmful, but Dawn makes a dishsoap with a bleach alternative already in it.
