I accidentally...?
Question:left my comforter in the washer and now it smells like mold. What are some ways to get rid of the smell?

wash it again w/ fabric softener - like snuggle or Downy.
um i dont know what to do! either get rid of it, wash it again, or call your local cleaners and ask for help.
I would suggest washing it again, with softener, or using a lot of soap. If that doesnt work, then i would take it to cleaners.
go get Oda-ban (can find it at Sam's Club in a large jug) or at Walmart in a spray bottle. Pour it in to your washer with the soap.
All you have to do is re-wash it. I've done it many times with clothes, blankets, etc. I use Tide with Frebreze and it's gone.
You can probably rewash it or put it in the dryer or take it to the dry cleaners, but to be honest, you will probably want a new comforter. By leaving the comforter in the washer, water would have entered the comforter, and no matter what you do, water is in there and you will start growing things like mildew, and will eventually make you sick. Just get a new comforter.
I would wash it again, but let it soak for an hour or two.. resume the wash..
Dry and re-dry...
umm im kinda slow, but i would re wash it a couple of other times... and spray febreze on it... it really helps.

I agree with the first answer take it to a professional and have them clean it and get the smell and mold out.
Wash them again in laundry detergent, add Pine sol in. The pine sol will get rid of the scent.(Any pine cleaner)
this is soooo easy all you have to do is rinse it with some vinegar and then rewash to take the vinegar smell out and dry as usual or with some dryer sheets!
