How do i know it's mold?

Pour some bleach on the suspect mold and it should begin to dissolve.It will most likely put off a bad odor as well.Try the bleach and see if it destroys the suspect stuff.As to testing,that is how I would test it.It should react to the bleach in a noticeable way,by dissolving.
I used tilex mold! You can also try the bleach thing.
Guys, there is a good reason why professional mold remediators aren't allowed to just spray bleach on it. Get a hold of a mold test kit such as the one listed above and send it out for the results. These tests are not like home pregnancy tests, they need to be mailed to a lab.
The real question is ... Is there more mold somewhere that you cannot see like inside the wall cavities.
I use the "**** " test. If it looks like ****, and smells like ****, then it's ****. If it looks like mold and smells like mold, then it's mold, dammit!
