Striped lizzard in my house, how do i get rid of it?
Question:Lizzard came in off the porch, in my bedroom, afraid to go to bed. how do I get rid of it
Answers:
Leave it alone. The lizard is probably more afraid of you than you are of it. One thing might be to bring in a cat, if you have one. They will often kill a lizard. Certain dogs will, too. Almost all lizards in the U.S. are harmless, with the exception of the Gila Monster, which lives in Arizona, and is poisonous.
If it were me, and it was any species other than an alligator lizard, which are common in California and tend to be snappish, I would try to catch it and make a nice terrarium habitat for it.
Lizards are good things. Ignore the stupidity of the answer above that claims it's the Devil.
It's just a little lizard. You don't bother it, and it won't bother you.
Call a Catholic priest ASAP. That old wily demon known as Satan, or Slue-foot has the ability to manifest himself into beings such as stripped lizards. Jesus be with ye.
lol funny question - step on it and eat it?
Borrow the neighbors cat? I am assuming you don't have one.
Or, just throw a towel over it and take it outside. Make sure it is not a poisonous variety!
follow these steps
1- take a small piece of cotton
2-soak it in water
3-throw the cotton ball at the wall, floor whereevr the lizard usually is
4-lizard is gona think that its a insect
5-lixard is gonna eat the cotton ball
6-lizard is gonna choke to death
7-pick it up
8-throw it out
IT REALLY WORKS TRY IT OUT!! I M NOT KIDDING
put a can over it and slide a piece of paper under and let it outside. and don't let it bite you.
got a cat? fresh doggy? trap from your city hall? (by us, if a squirrel, stray cat, or racoon gets in your house, city hall (probably division of animal control, 'dog catchers' etc) will loan you a trap to catch the beast and then turn it loose outside.
LIZARDS SLEEP AT NIGHT..MUCH AS DO WE...SO THATS NOT A PROBLEM..IS IT? .. so.. to get rid of it, try 'hearding' it...a cardbord sheet...opened porch door...lizard avoids the 'wall' of cardbord...you keep it moveing toward the door...and wala.. he is out side.. alive.. still being your neighborly fly catcher..and still eating spiders and mosquitos and knats and ants. every body is happy.
Try and corner it with a bucket or container and see if you can get it to go into it.
Once you do, just put it back outside.
