How do you keep your home clean when you have toddlers? Or do you?
Question:Between chasing my toddlers and driving my teen everywhere, I never feel like I have time to clean. Then when someone stops by I am embarrassed by how my house looks. I am always amazed when I go to someone's house and it seems to be so spotless. Do their husbands help clean?
Please tell me what your secret is to a spotless house.

Boarding school.
I'm a stay-at-home dad with a 2.5 year old. I clean up the house when he naps in the afternoon, and again after he goes to bed for the night. I also make him clean up some of his toys/messes before sleeping. He's getting the idea that "clean up" is a requirement before bed.
And tell your teen to use the bus or find another mode of transport, like their legs.
Keeping it clean is one thing, keeping it tidy and neat is a whole other story. If you think toddlers are bad, wait until they become teenagers.
just give up now. and i WAS a cleaning fanatic! I have 3 kids ages 8-7-4 and its only got worse. good luck
Have your children help out by picking up there own things. You could create a chore chart that they can mark off when the complete the chore. For your teenager you may want to add an incentive like extra time on the computer, or out with friends, how about extra spending money for completing all chores. I do this with my own children and it works well. If they don't do the chore them they don't get the reward-just the same has having a job. If you don't do the work you don't get paid. As for my husband, I'm very lucky. He will offer to help out with picking up or will cook dinner on his nights off.
