How does one remove lint from the dryer of a stackable washer / dryer (the dryer is on top)?

I had a stackable unit & the lint trap, is just inside the dryer, nearest the door. My unit was a Maytag if that helps. Lowe's sells a long handled brush that's made exclusively for "deep" lint trap cleaning.
